American Dental Association Event

This webinar is the latest in a series of educational programs for dentists and their practice staff whose focus is on reducing practice overhead costs through use of electronic data interchange (the HIPAA standard electronic transactions). Timely and accurate payment for services provided affects the financial health of every dental practice.

The healthcare electronic funds transfer (EFT) was introduced to the industry in 2013 to reduce spend and improve payment flow for claim payments to healthcare providers. Electronic claim payments in the medical industry represent almost 75% of all claim payments, while only 20% of all claim payments are electronic in the dental industry. Using data from the latest CAQH Index and results from a dental practice that primarily utilizes electronic claim payments, dentists will learn about the benefits of EFT for their practice and how easy it is to get started.

1. Upon completion, participants will gain an understanding of how to efficiently and effectively implement and integrate automated clearinghouse (ACH) into the practice’s daily reimbursement posting and reconciliation.
2. Upon completion, participants will acquire knowledge on how ACH payments as the HIPAA standard for EFT payments can greatly impact a typical dental practice's revenue cycle.
3. Upon completion, participants will learn how ACH enables secure and rapid receipt of claim payments from dental insurance companies directly to the dentist’s bank.
